Poll question: Worst voice?
Edited on Tue Sep-26-06 10:53 PM by undisclosedlocation
As editing time is running out, I'll just stick Demi on there since I can't think of anybody else.

2. I'll put her on; I think I've managed to duck her so assiduously that
I don't really know what her voice sounds like. I'm sure it reflects her winning personality, though.

4. It's unpleasant, like all the rest of her.
Not quite as painful to listen to as Rita Cosby, but she has that nasal Connecticut country-club WASP lockjaw.

6. I had a three way tie going...
...between Ann 'Stop staring at my adam's apple, dammit!' Coulter, Rita 'Get me a throat lozenge, STAT!' Cosby, and Gilbert 'AFLAC!' Gottfried. Some choice, eh? Rita got the vote, cause when she was on after Countdown, I could not change the channel quick enough...Horsey McThroat.

29. Fran's real voice is sort of like Fran Drescher Lite
Still a "shtrong" Queens accent, but not a bit like her stage voice.

The stage voice has been employed to perfection on at least one occasion: the party scene in "Down and Out in Beverly Hills", in which Fran plays some producer's wife or something. It's just gaw-jus!

Funny story: So Fran's on The View or some such show, and she's telling about trolling the Internets for dates. (Really.) So she's got this guy interested, then he messages, "Could I talk with you on the phone before we meet F2f?" I just want to make sure you don't saound like Fran Drescher or something."!!

11. Ever see Gottfried in "The Aristocrats"?
The one time I found him truly hilarious. Usually his voice itself drives me insane.

My favorite scene in any Martin Scorcese movie is the one where somebody shoots/stabs/bludgeons that annoying POS.

I still think it's funny that Rita Cosby's percentage has been rising all night and all day, though.

What an asshole. Strutted around like he owned the place. I wanted to walk up to him and say, "You suck." But I didn't. I'm lame.

28. I had never heard of him until the other month when, in an equally
corrosive frame of mind, I put up a poll, "Who is the poet laureate of bad song lyrics?" http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=105x5510725 and somebody suggested him. Apparently, he is very versatile in his suckingness.
