3. Franky goes to Hollywood?
General Tommy Franks calls for Repeal of US Constitution, November 2003:

Franks identifies the precise scenario whereby military rule will be established:

"a terrorist, massive, casualty-producing event somewhere in the Western world - it may be in the United States of America - that causes our population to question our own Constitution and to begin to militarize our country in order to avoid a repeat of another mass, casualty-producing event."

But I don't know, what if feels like for all of you, who live in the USA. And even George W. did escape to Tony...

Relax???
-ed in Germany,
Dirk

6. Orange
If I look down this road
It's not so old, I know.
Ain't it white like snow,
But somehow painted gold.

And when I'm lost and torn,
a soldier of orange, I.
Like a roll in snow, on
a doctor's show, I.

If I look down this road
It's not so old, I know.
But ain't it white like snow,
but somehow painted gold.

But when I'm lost and torn
I'm a soldier of orange I.
I like a roll in snow
on a doctor's show.

But when I'm lost and torn
I'm a soldier of orange I know
But like a roll in snow on a doctor full time.

10. Happy Bouncy Tunes? I Always LOVED Petula Clark's "Downtown"

When you're alone and life is making you lonely
You can always go - downtown
When you've got worries, all the noise and the hurry
Seems to help, I know - downtown
Just listen to the music of the traffic in the city
Linger on the sidewalk where the neon signs are pretty
How can you lose?

The lights are much brighter there
You can forget all your troubles, forget all your cares
So go downtown, things'll be great when you're
Downtown - no finer place, for sure
Downtown - everything's waiting for you

Don't hang around and let your problems surround you
There are movie shows - downtown
Maybe you know some little places to go to
Where they never close - downtown
Just listen to the rhythm of a gentle bossa nova
You'll be dancing with him too before the night is over
Happy again

The lights are much brighter there
You can forget all your troubles, forget all your cares
So go downtown, where all the lights are bright
Downtown - waiting for you tonight
Downtown - you're gonna be all right now

And you may find somebody kind to help and understand you
Someone who is just like you and needs a gentle hand to
Guide them along

So maybe I'll see you there
We can forget all our troubles, forget all our cares
So go downtown, things'll be great when you're
Downtown - don't wait a minute for
Downtown - everything's waiting for you

Downtown, downtown, downtown, downtown ...

11. Do you have Petula Clark's Greatest Hits?
A MUST own for your collection.

"Downtown" is my favorite, but I also like "Color My World" and "Who Am I"

The Pet Clark song "This is My Song" was used very nicely in the film "Billy's Hollywood Screen Kiss", I thought.

19. Here is a song a friend wrote: Little Miss Orange Alert
About the woman who alerted the FBI to those two guys in Florida whose conversation she eavesdropped on.
You can download it here.

http://radio4all.net/proginfo.php?id=6605

V.1:
Little Miss Orange Alert —
She’s wearin’ a Kevlar skirt.
The fear of every day,
No, it just won’t go away
For Little Miss Orange Alert.

V.2:
Little Miss Orange Alert —
She only hopes it won’t hurt
When the destined killing stroke
Turns her into reddish smoke:
O Little Miss Orange Alert.

Bridge 1:
O you know: I would not fleer and scorn;
I am one with all of woman born.
I too feel what all my fellows feel.
Inshallah! (O say — is that an Arab at the wheel?)

V.3:
Little Miss Orange Alert
Had almost begun to flirt
Till it came into her head
I will presently be dead!
Sad Little Miss Orange Alert.

Bridge 2:
O you know: I would not grouse and bitch;
I too speak the speech and scratch the itch.
I am nothing new beneath the sun.
Inshallah! (O say — is that a Persian with a gun?)
V.4:
Little Miss Orange Alert:
She feared the guy in the shirt.
Its legend fright did breed
’Cause the script she couldn’t read —
My Little Miss Orange Alert.

V.5:
Little Miss Orange Alert,
With all of her terrors girt,
Her every lively thought
Spins in place and comes to naught;
Her will to make it new
Drains into old despond’s slough;
Her spirit scales to gray
Pointless night by pointless day —
Little Miss Orange Alert,
Little Miss Orange Alert,
Little Miss Orange Alert.
