from the era when I lurked for about 10 minutes every day...and before I joined.

So many familiar names that have gone away. I joined on 10/8/01. Didn't have a home computer then and could spend very limited time online while at work.

And it makes me think of the DUers that posted here, made a mark, and then faded away. I miss birdman.

6. thinking back on those we have lost...
a common thread appears...

we needn't walk with a big stick beating people up the side the head with it.

in fact, it was their gentle nature that i remember, what impacted me and inspired me.
