What are you listening to right now?
Right now, Cindy Alexander at the Star Tomorrow website. "Idiot Child" is the song.

Recently I heard these albums at the full album listening parties:

Janet Jackson - 20 Y.O. B- (I keep thinking that each song has been done better before by her)

Evanescence - The Open Door A- or A (there's more of Amy's individual personality, which is a great thing)

Scissors Sisters - Ta Dah! C (it just seems outdated and hollow to me. And I like the Bee Gees' disco sound.)

And Elton John's The Captain And The Kid, which gets a solid A.

7. I heard that recently
It's one the critics are very rightly praising IMO.. usually I dislike it more when they bash an album I think is great, but the indie praise can get excessive.

22. the static in my headphones
I don't feel right if I don't have my headphones in when I'm on the computer. I'm alone, too, which makes it really really weird. I hate the way the speakers on this computer sound, really tinny. So I got hooked on the headphones and now if I don't have them in when I'm online it doesn't feel right. And if I listen to music just...out loud...I feel kind of naked and vulnerable and exposed. I'm getting weird in my old age.

66. Using this thread one more time
Today, I heard Veruca Salt's Eight Arms To Hold You. It is an outstanding rock album! Evanescence has gotten better (the songs on The Open Door explode better with Amy's voice, with only a couple filler ballads holding the album back,) but I think Veruca Salt still has Evanescence beaten.

Eight Arms To Hold You: A+, The Open Door: A-

The Cardigans - Super Extra Gravity: thumbsup!
Ellery - Lying Awake: thumbsup!
Sparklehorse - Dreamt for Light Years in the Belly of a Mountain: possibly a couple slow spots, but sounds like there's a lot of excellence here - thumbsup!
Beck - The Information: heard a couple whole songs - reserving judgment.
Ben Kweller - self-titled: maybe not innovative, but sounds good in the Rhett Miller mold.
Sugarland - heard "Want To" and liked it
The Killers - heard "When You Were Young" and liked it
