My SIL for one, who stuffs her kid full of fast-food, candy,soda,and chips resulting in an 11 year old child that weighs 215.

I'd like to smack each member of my husband's family who turn the other way when my SIL indulges this child, and pretend as if this is nothing out of the ordinary.

I'd like to smack the people at the Department of Human Services that don't consider this to be child abuse and completely criminal.

I'd like to smack the family physician who, rather than shove his foot in my SIL's ass, treats her 11 obese 11 year old child for diabetes, HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE and sleep apnea as though it were nothing out of the ordinary. In fact, I think he deserves a double smack for treating the symptoms rather than the problem and let my lazy assed SIL continue killing this child.

It's heartbreaking because there doesn't seem to be anything that can be done. If they were starving the kids they'd be taken away in a heartbeat-and this is no less damaging.
This 11 year old has these severe health problems that were deliberately inflicted on her-and if that weren't bad enough, now my stupid SIL picks on her because of her weight and call her "fatso" and "lard-ass" which makes her eat more of the garbage my SIL buys for her!
The worst part (aside from the physical aspects) is that even if these kids manage to somehow, someday get themselves to a healthy weight, they will suffer the emotional impact for the rest of their lives. They will battle esteem issues for the rest of their lives thanks to their "loving" parents. Honestly, some people are just too stupid to live.
