I just had a wonderful birthday dinner with my daughter.

We went to Olivetos in the Rockridge Area of Oakland/Berkeley. Took BART and walked across the street to the most delightful restaurant. Had champagne, good food, wine and topped it off with warm chocolate cake, creme fraiche and vanilla ice cream. YUM-YUM.

I am envious. I drool over the Oliveto menu whenever I'm in Rockridge. One of these days I should break down and make a reservation.

It always had good tapas as I remember. I'm glad to hear it's still in business.

(I grew up in the Bay Area and went to Cal ... I LOVE that area.) :thumbsup:
