It wasn't just a football game for NOLA
The Saints won 23-3, but that's not the point. Some semblance
of normality was restored to New Orleans tonight.

We liberals can question the priority of rebuilding the
Superdome so quickly, but almost to a person, the people
of New Orleans supported it. Plus, it's a major part of the
economic infrastructure of NOLA.

Growing up a 5 hour drive from New Orleans, I've visited many
times-some I don't remember very well
And I can tell you, the folks there are ecstatic tonight.

Tomorrow, they'll be back to the back-breaking and depressing
work of rebuilding. But tonight-Let the good times roll(sorry I
don't know the French spelling).

This Bronco fan is a Saints fan, too.

1. My dear liberaltrucker!
Laissez les bons temps roulez! or something like that......

Good to see you tonight......

I see the Superdome as a symbol for NO.......and this is something concrete that the people can rally around....

Plus being of enormous economic importance as well....

I got some pics of my last visit that'll make your skin crawl.
Jazz musicians in the French Quarter, et al. The culture will
never die.
