"The Fountainhead" is coming on TCM.
If you have not seen it, then watch it. If you can watch it and do not, I will call you "Hairbrane."

11. Why? Her books are utter crap, why would I want to subject
myself to a movie made from one of them?

Feh.

15. They're just dreadfully written, ponderous, and boring.
And her characters are shallowly drawn. And her politics is never far below the surface.

12. That is funny, because you are a lot like the character that Cooper plays.

9. Hmmm.
I liked the cast, and enjoyed the book (really!) but thought it was ludicrous to try to boil all of that down into a standard length film. Just way too much nuance and subtext to do any kind of justice.
Even with their extraordinary charms and special effects, I doubt that Pitt and Jolie will have any more success with it on the next proposed go-around than Patricia Neal and Gary Cooper had.
Nevertheless, Floogeldy, enjoy!

24. Just tuned in, for giggles.
Ayn Rand sucks donkey balls, and this movie is a festering wad of melodramatic offal.
