3. 30 seconds of pain vs a lifetime of pleasure
Seemed like a good deal. I was mildly uncomfortable afterwards but I've had hangovers that induced more agony

5. Good for you.
The only problem with my vasectomy was that they hadn't injected enough local anesthetic when the sliced into the first vas deferens.

They rememedied that quickly, though, got on with the procedure, and I was able to waddle across the street and enjoy a nice Mexican lunch with many cervezas.

For Mrs. DTW this week it was me buying her Madden '07 for PS2. She's really into her games and loves it. Some guys buy flowers, I buy her games. Oh yes, flowers too.

7. Let her stay home with the kids.
After two children, we decided that one of us would be a stay at home parent. We both made similar money, both of us really wanted to stay home, and both of us would have been good at it. I volunteered to be the sole breadwinner, just to make her happy (and I'd switch with her in a heartbeat).

Oh, add in the vasectomy too. :)

15. Gave him his first cell phone in 1992.
It wasn't long after we got married. He had just gotten his dream job with DC Comics doing comic art as a freelancer, and he was on Cloud 9. :) The top-of-the-line phone at that point was the Motorola bag phone (remember when people still called them "car phones"?). When I got home from work that Friday afternoon, I had it in my tote bag, which I usually carried. I set it down and said hello to him, and I told him to sit down. He thought I was going to tell him I was pregnant , but instead I pulled out the phone and gave it to him. He was stunned and didn't think he needed it, but he got used to it damn fast. :)

BTW, he really HAS upgraded his phone since then...

16. hmm...a few things...

1. Held her hair while she was puking, and took care of her during her few fights against to much alcohol, the various flu's, and food poisioning...

2. Cooked dinner for her 95% of the time..

3. I never miss her birthday, or any anniversary that we have...she has complimented me on that trait quite a few times.

4. I do her laundry 99% of the time...

There are too many to list...but I think the best thing I have done for her, is love her, with all my heart...

20. Flew his best friend from Florida to Seattle for a b'day surprise
I knew how much he missed his best buddy :-) so I flew him up here, organized the whole surprise with the help of our two roommates. He came home to his best friend sitting on the steps. The look on his face was priceless!
