So this crazy woman comes to my door last night
I'd been wanting fried chicken on Saturday so I made it for dinner last night: fried chicken and smashed taters and pan gravy and sweet corn and biscuits and I even made an apple pie for dessert. I was putting it on the table when someone knocks at the door. I go to answer it and there's this crazy woman standing on my porch with three teenaged boys in tow, threatening to kick my ass.

Because her skater-punk dropout loser of a son, who just turned eighteen, got caught messing with my thirteen-year-old daughter and another girl the same age.

My nine-year-old was in hysterics, my daughter was shaken and calling 911 and this woman is standing on my front porch screaming, "I'm gonna kick your ass, bitch!"

Keep a good thought for me today. There's some other stuff going on as well -- my life in general is a disaster right now -- so a little bit of lounge mojo would go a long way.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled havoc...wreak away. Right now I have to go gird my loins, I'll be back tonight.

5. You need a trap door in your porch.
Edited on Mon Sep-25-06 09:07 AM by mainegreen
You know, the kind where you push the hidden button and the losers on your porch fall through the trap door and into a chute that dumps them in the river.

Oh, and hope you have a very nice day too.

DA called this afternoon and he's apparently got four open cases against skater-punk-loser-dropout. The one involving my daughter, a burglary, a breaking and entering and a criminal trespass. He tells me that this kid oughta be out of our hair pretty soon.

Of course the mother's gonna be another story.

I went to Home Depot today and bought new locks.

Thank you.

110. I agree. It's as bullshit as bullshit gets.
And, what's more is that her son isn't supposed to 'harrass, intimidate or otherwise influence' my daughter.

I found out late tonight that he's been calling and leaving messages saying that if he goes to jail, he's gonna...do her bodily harm.

And THEY took out a restraining order against ME.

So...now if they come up on my porch, not only will they not be arrested but I can be.

How fucked up is that?

you recovering your missing precious 13 yr. old daughter? And she's mad at you because she blames you somehow for his moral failings?

If she can't see how he's wrong, and discourage him from a habit of consorting with minors, he's going to have a lot of prison in his future regardless of anything you might or might not do. Sheesh.

Her son started sniffing around my daughter around this time last year and we filed charges (she wasn't even 13 yet when it all started), so she blames me for all his problems.

Never mind that it wasn't just my daughter he was sniffing around. There were other girls, the same age, involved.

It's all my daughter's fault. The burglary. His DUIs. The criminal trespass. The B&E.

My fault.

Yup.

while I'm generally against violence, should you answer the door holding that if they're being assholes again, they'll probably think twice. It would be an intimidation tactic that could provide some temporary help.

That's what I would do at least (don't listen to me though. I'm a teenager,m so it's my job to do stupid things :) )

It is awful to have to deal with crazy adults like this. I really hope this will be the end of it for you with her. Maybe if she knows the police are involved. I had to put someone on trespass notice once just to keep her away from my house, it did the trick for her to know the cops were involved. Here's hoping this crazy family will leave you and yours alone.

That's a nice-sized katana you've got there, sakabatou. At present I have an umbrella stand with a Del Tin crusades-era sword, a Viking type by Lonely Mountain Forge, and a couple of Starfire two-handers sticking out of it ... those ones are blunt, but with luck they won't look closely enough to find out!

Another possibility is to go down to the Salvation Army and buy the largest pair of men's work boots they've got, and leave them casually outside my door ...

Wanna hear something hilarious? Sherriff just came to the door and served me and my daughter with restraining orders that they took out.

THEY came to MY house. Onto MY porch. And got in MY face.

Good news is, I was missing the mom's first name and one of the kids' last name to file mine (they only go one way -- I can't go over there but I never have anyway -- but they can come back here again) and now I've got them.

The whole thing is just...infuriating.

;) Just kidding, though it would be nice to have enough confidence that you don't feel threatened by people like that.

Weirdos!

Edit:

Just the other day, on a bus, I was talking away with a friend (in english, the only language I speak), at this point we were up to something about how interesting the development of various cultures was, and there is this *jab* to my side with one hell of a bony rib.

I look around - there is this lady glaring at me.

"speak english- or get out of the damn country" she says

I'm like, wtf, but I remain polite and say: "What... I was speaking english"

"You can go back to where you damn came from if you don't speak english" she repeats.

So, drawing on my fine command of language... I say nothing and look away.

"Bloody people who don't speak english" she says out loud. "Stupid snobby little (inaudible) should get out of the country" she adds.

Needless to say, me and my friend exited the bus. Soon.

The end.
