it is back to work for me :cry:

I got up kinda OK this morning. I am still tired though and wish I could still sleep. After all, my body thinks it is still in the Eastern Time Zone :boring:

People were wondering if I would come back (seems like I have a reputation in a way :rofl:)

So I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I did. Friday evening that great Mini DU meet-up in NYC, Saturday lunch with Joani, haruka, LynzM and briarius. In the evening my flight back to Germany. Sunday evening meeting with two friends here in Frankfurt for a drink. I think that all together counts for a wonderful weekend.

Next holiday is Oct, 3rd. National Holiday, like your 4th of July. I think I can leave a bit early if I get too tired. At the moment I am doing OK.
Nov. 11th is a holiday but not everywhere. We in Hessen don't have it.

It's funny, when I was flying back we finally reached Britain and I thought "thank God, the journey is finished." But it still takes an hour or so to fly down from the top of Scotland to London - all the way I was sitting there impatiently going "come on, come on, how long does it take??"

I guess I thought Britain was smaller than it actually is. :)

The flight back form Newark to Frankfurt was 7 hours. And it takes two hours from Frankfurt to London.

The part when we flew over Baffin Bay and then Baffin Island and started heading southwest over Canada seemed to take forever. Such a big place.

I did fly from London. From Heathrow, as you'd expect. I mean that our flight approached Britain from the north, and we basically flew straight down over it, from the top of Scotland through the middle of England.
