Ever been so nervous that you wanted to throw-up >
That's how I felt yesterday. Ok Saturday day/night I spent a day with the good guy friend of mine who I finally admitted to having feelings for. He took me over to his house to see their garden. I was so silly - I felt nervous about being at his parents' home without them meeting me (they know of me but I too nervous to meet them) that I just went back to the car. He got me to laugh about it but I have a deep fear of rejection that I don't want to be told that I am not good enough for their son. That's always in the back of my mind because I care about this guy so much that if they were to say that they don't want me around their son, I would cry. It makes me nervous just typing this.

But on a good note : it feels good to find someone who is on the same page and who does not want to rush things.

1. Yes, I have.
On different occasions for different reasons. But yes, I've been that nervous before.

Hope you're feeling better, girl.

2. No.
You need to take it easy. Back off of your bad self. You are your worst critic.

Don't be so goddam concerned about what people might think or fantasize about your worth as a human being. Fuck them. What the fuck do they know, besides "nothing?" Be yourself and be proud. Be happy! Have fun.

Oh yow and, be good. ;)

Luv,

Floog

7. Hey! Hold your head up!

He invited you into their home. That's a real good sign! It sounds like his parents raised him right and these are good, welcoming people - not the kind of people who will keep you at arm's length. So hey - go to meet them. If you let nerves hold you back it may look like you are trying to hide something and THAT is not the impression you want to make.

And remember:

No one can make you feel inferior without your consent. - Eleanor Roosevelt.

Good luck!

:hi:

9. So true - sometimes I beat myself up waaaaaaaaay too much.
I don't want to start sounding like someone else I know. But it should be understandable that meeting the parents is nervous to some people and I am only human. They did raise a cute and open hearted son :)
