I can't wait to see the Dixie Chicks movie
First, it was directed by Cecilia Peck and Oscar Award winner Barbara Kopple (American Dream, Harlan County, USA).
Click here to hear the directors slam freepers as the minority:

Here's Variety on the quality of the filmmaking:
"Fly-on-the-wall feeling permeates the entire film, which is seamlessly edited while leapfrogging back and forth in time. Sound recording and editing are consistently topnotch regardless of the setting."

Second, the film is NOT about singing. It's about standing up for your beliefs and dealing with life-altering effects of being targeted for those beliefs. Check this preview:

Third, the weary world needs some hope. These Chicks make me want to stay an American. Oh, and they have better harmonies than the Supremes.

Phil

Not yet rated, but probably PG-13 due to language. 99 minutes. Opens in select cities October 20.

1. "better harmonies than the Supremes" - how hard is that?
No offense meant to the diva's :puke: backups.

I didn't know there was a movie. It'll probably be the first one we see in a theater since "Fahrenheit 9/11." Thanks :hi:

2. Would you believe...
...The Lemon Sisters?

I'm glad you brought up MM. He did us a disservice in F911 in that it was incediary in a bad way. It didn't win any new hearts.
BTW, I bought 15 tickets for F911, and helped support a showing of the movie to a redneck Waco community, when the Crawford Peace House hosted 3,000 (!) viewers to watch it on a makeshift outdoor screen. I will probably do twice that much for this film!
