Ooh baby, I think I love you, from Head to Toe!
Does anyone else remember Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam???

'Head to Toe' video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9l_WgNHpDY8

This song came out in the mid-eighties I think, it was my favorite of hers.

(in the youtube comments someone called it a rap song, lol)

Lisa Lisa's 'All Cried Out' was a great ballad, too:

13. OMG
I totally for got about Lost in Emotion!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dxkbTG6PeCI

I saw her on an 80's special last year and she was really shocked that people remembered her and her songs. I couldn't believe it. She's even prettier now than she was then. I can't believe how many hits they had. Head to Toe came out when I was around 16 or 17 and I remember that summer because that song and Debbie Gibson's "Only in My Dreams" were playing all the time.

15. Only in My Dreams was a great track
so was Martika's Toy Soldiers, which seems contemporaneous.

17. oh yeah, Martika was hot.
i saw that vid on VH1C a month ago and totally drew the same Cates parallel. I'd rather just not think about Cates though because she's so hot it hurts.
