So what happened to Chevy Chase?
I was a kid when Caddyshack and Fletch came out. I'd say the last funny movie that Chevy did was Christmas Vacation. After that what has he done? Even his roast on Comedy Central went so bad that Comedy Central has refused to show it. What happened?

7. Sometimes you just kind of have your moment and then poof. I
thought he did some good turns in non comedies like Hero and Driving Ms. Daisy. Also, in his defense, rumor has it, he took a gillion falls and got addicted to meds. That can make you very unfunny very quickly. Buster Keaton another guy that pratfalled often, lost it, too.

9. A little off topic but he is a nice guy.
My brother was working on a film once as a production asst. (gopher, director's wife driver, crap job) about 15 years ago. The director told him to go pick up his wife from her friend's house. My brother drove over, knocked on the door, it opened and Low and Behold...it was Chevy Chase's house. He told my brother that she wasn't quite ready so they hung out in the living room for a good hour and my brother said he was a really super nice person.

14. He was a little active vocally during pre-Iraq and the '04 election
It's been a while since I heard about this but I remember hearing that he has permanent damage to his back and body from all the staged falls and trips he used to do in his early years.
