64. I think it would be an awesome learning experience
I am not sure why anybody would want to pass it up. I love the movies and TV shows where they try to explore it too. Same with books like "Black like me" and movies like "Soul Man". Part of it though, is physical. Is it great to be a guy, or is it great to be a studly guy? Is it great to be a woman? Is it harder or easier to be a 'sexy' (in quotes because there is more than one definition of sexy) woman?

One problem would be that a week would probably not be long enough, but if you went longer, you would risk a sort of Stockholm syndrome. A year, say, of being treated differently by the world, would change you - would change the way you saw and reacted to the world.

7. Absolutely.
I have always felt less feminine than other women. And I hate being treated as the lesser sex. I'd love to be a man for a week. Maybe it would make me bettter appreciate being a woman. Maybe not. And I know one guy I'd like to beat up real bad.

All that baggage hanging there would just distract me. Then I'd have to figure out what to do with it. It would be like being a lesbian for a week, except that I'd have a dick. I'd be really confused.

But then you'd still have to "figure out what to do with it." :D

I do agree with the weird "baggage," though. I've always been like Elaine from Seinfeld: "I don't know how you guys walk around with those things."

25. Yeah
Although I'm pretty sure I'd feel just as out of place among the majority of the members of my sex if I were a woman as I already do as a man. Both genders confound me, but maybe that's just because most people confound me.

It would be a relief to no longer be expected to care about sports, except in their place I'd be expected to care about fashion. (Bleh!) I'd like not having to shave my face anymore, except I'd now be expected to shave my legs. (And I think giving my hairy legs one good shave would cause me to go through three or four razor blades!) I wouldn't mind not being expected to act "macho" or assume some of the traditional male gender roles that most men and women continue to expect, but I can't say I'd really be looking forward to some of the stuff women typically have to put up with, either. But for a week- why not? It seems like it would be a learning experience at least!

Yes, to see how being a man would affect how I am treated at work. I swear women get the worst assignments and treatment while the men get all the cushy jobs.

No, because I think some male behaviors are well, kind of crude. With sincere apologies to the gentlemen in here if I offended anyone.

59. Yeah, the more I think about it the more I'm pretty sure it's a bad idea.
Especially the idea discussed upthread of switching bodies with a partner. I suppose the good thing is that I'd get mine back a bit thinner because somebody'd never quit playing with my naughty bits long enough to eat, but how frustrating would it be to always see some aspect of the object of my affections out of the corner of my eye? I'd never get anything done. Although being tall enough to reach the top shelf at the grocery store without climbing would be a nice change, as would getting checked out in public, which almost never happens to me.

60. Why not?
It might be a good learning experience.
I know that it is purely hypothetical, but some people have done this by trying to pass for the other gender for the learning experience.
I don't think that I could pass. My body would look all wrong as a man and since I have really thin lower limbs, I don't think that I could pad it in a way that wouldn't look strange.

So I can make the same money as a stupid asshole male, that knows less than I do about how to run a Help Desk, I might add this, most men grovel at their customers feet, but don't solve the original issue, it's called "Fluff."

Women in the IT field are notoriously known to make MUCH LESS than their male counterparts, even though the women are more knowledgeable and skillful!!!
