I thought all cats loved sashimi?
There is a stray cat that stays in my yard all the time. I usually don't feed him, but every now and then I'll leave a scrap for him.

Earlier I prepared some sashimi from some very fresh tuna I had purchased. There were a couple small pieces left, so I put them outside where he could see them. He came creeping over, smelled the sashimi, turned his nose and sauntered off.

Do cats in general like raw fish? I figured they did? Apparently he didn't care for it.

1. Our cat won't touch fish in any way shape or form.

2. some cats hate fish -- others won't touch cheese ...
Some refuse chicken and turkey, but eat popcorn and bread.

I once had to cat-sit (and medicate) a cat who either hated or was allergic to most of the types of protein available -- luckily she could eat (and liked) fresh raw liver, so that's what I used to disguise the pills.
