Hello Lounge Friends,

You've read the thread about my buying the contents of a used bookstore and moving 32,000 books from Minneapolis to Milwaukee...

Well...

Spent lots of time alone at the public library.

Grew up wanting to do 2 things, own a record store or own a bookstore. No interest in a music store, as CD's are just boring to hold, touch, read, etc.

So I've been working on this for about 6 or 8 months, and when the opportunity to buy out the store in St. Paul came up, I was ready to jump at it.

Now I live surrounded by boxes and boxes of books...

Our friend oneighty, Ed, who passed away today. Well, he had a book of stories he wrote collected and published himself. He paid for the publishing himself, I think, and just gave editions away. I know he offered me one once.

I dunno, I bet he had some editions left over. Maybe,if his loved ones don't mind, you could get them and offer them for sale, special to DUers or something, and we could donate some of the proceeds to his favorite charity?

Just a thought.
