Did you see "Friends With Money"?
My fiancee and I watched this movie last night, and we both thought that it was pretty worthless. There were great performances (as you would expect from Frances McDormand, Catherine Keener, Joan Cusack and Jennifer Aniston), but at the end I was left with the nagging question: What's the point? It seemed to me that the theme was "rich people have problems too," which made me want to tell the movie to bite me.

However, this film got generally good reviews, and since I, as a film snob, usually agree with the critics, it bothers me that I didn't like it. I feel like I must be missing something. So what did you think? What am I missing?

1. I think it was packaged wrong.
It certainly wasn't the comedy portrayed in the trailers. It left me feeling unsettled. I do want to watch again (probably in the dead of winter, with nothing else to see), just to try to understand those women.
