Tomorrow's forecast high temperature: Ninety-nine. x( It had cooled off a bit here; I thought we were done with summer, but nooooooo.

Of course we'll be in the high 80's next week. Bring on the parkas!

2. It's a nice, cool 88 degrees here today!
Heat won't be turned on until Nov... at the earliest. I love AZ!

It may get down to 60 tonight. After reaching a scorching 79 today. :P

8. Hey, it gets chilly at night.

Even for the left coast.

I noticed the difference three weeks ago.
It's getting into the high 40's-50's at night

Living in an uninsulated house built in the 40's doesn't help!
The landlord doesn't have to insulate it, so no insulation!

4. Gawd, already?
Bummer, dude, but we're not far behind...We had our furnace serviced last week and got 1/2 cord of wood delivered. Yup, fall is coming....time to cozy in.

:hi:

5. It's below 60 here...
ok, not right now, but it will be. At about 3 am.

I think my apartment has a furnace. At least, the thermostat has a "heat" setting. But I couldn't tell you if it works, I've never used it. ;)

9. Hi Huskerlaw,

Yep, it's getting nippy at night.

One of my kitties, the long haired one,
is starting to fluff out. That's a sign of colder weather.

Lucky you, you never use your heat?
You must have insulation in your building.

I don't! :(

10. Hi :)
Nope, no insulation whatsoever. I'm from the Midwest and last winter was my first one in SoCal. I grew up with temps well below 0, so I just never needed the heat!

This winter may be different...I was even wearing a jacket today. However, my air conditioner is still on... ;)

6. I have oil heat and the first time I have to open all the windows
for the first 15 minutes to dissipate the fuel oil smell. That, and replacing the front and back screen doors with storm doors is the signal moment, a sad moment, marking the exit of summer/fall and the entry of winter.

:(

7. Really?
It's not that cold here in CT. I'll still have the fan on tonight although they said the temp could dip below 40.
