9. I'm having a great week!
I've taken time off from work, and am focusing on getting myself and my space in order. Sadly, the dust has to be dusted off the clutter before I can vacuum it up. But the sense of accomplishment is fantastic! :D

The dollar stores sell dust masks in packs of 10 here. Maybe you could wear one while cleaning up...? I wear them when sanding old paint off of furniture pieces.

Re: Zytec
I have to take it occasionally as an add-on to the Allegra am taking for controlling hives. When I do take it, am only taking 1/2 the child liquid dose as the regular adult dose pill wires me for 6-8 hours and leaves me feeling logy the next day. :yoiks:

8. hmmm, in that case
I would wait until the dead of winter to get the cleaning done...otherwise, you not only have the dust, but all kinds of late summer/early fall pollen & mold to contend with. The dry winter house heat should help...(I hope)

11. It would only get worse.
My doctor gave me a booster dose of prednisone, which does help (at least, temporarily) in keeping the sneezing under control.

The windows have been closed for several weeks now, so I really can't put it off any longer. Besides, the dead of winter is usually one of my busiest times of the year. But thanks for your kind suggestions. :)

Oh, he does, doesn't he! :silly:

Get some honey that is harvested in your community and make it a part of your daily diet. (A spoonful in your tea each day or just eat a spoonful, whatever.) They say that helps you get over your allergies because you are building up an immunity of sorts to the pollens in your area (all the ones them bees get a hold of).

I hope you feel better soon! :pals:

27. I didn't think of this on my own.
 I read it in a home remedy book.

I'd try it, but can't seem to find any bee harvesters around here (the wind blew and the poopoo flew) and any way, the bees don't like the formaldehyde in the trailer, so it wouldn't help my allergies.

I do have 3 air purifiers, you might one to get you a couple of them.

30. I have five air cleaners, and I've been cleaning them EVERY DAY!
That's how bad it is around here. It's all my own dust, too. Well, OK, and lots of cat dander and hair, too. :D

I might have to bite the bullet really hard and go to an allergist again. Sigh - more money I don't have to spend. :(

Oh, and no need to credit outside sources. An idea is only brilliant if you happen to think of it at the right time. :P

and a leave blower?

Glue down all objects you don't want blown about and then go to town with the leave blower (electric of course, don't need the gas fumes in the house to iritate your sinuses.)

26. The cherry delights are universal
and for some, the same can be said of the wine.

I'm not much for the grapes, well I do like eating grapes, but smashed ones just don't rock my boat.

Now a good rum can provide a pleasant escape, as if on some exotic island, but I really don't know what is the susbstance that gives the rum it's yum. :freak:

Time for google!

where were we?

29. Rum
Rum is a spirit made from by-products of cane sugar. Molasses1, or cane sugar is mixed with water in huge vats. Fermentation can occur spontaneously but in some cases yeast is added. The sugars convert to alcohol and the basis of rum is formed. Distillation is utilised to give the product known as rum.

yum in rum - cane sugar! :silly:

25. Sorry to hear about your allergies but
were you reading my mind? I started dusting upstairs Sunday because I couldn't stand it. Downstairs is a wait until drywall is finished. I don't have a problem with dust allergies but my step son does. He used to wear a dust mask when he had to dust. It cut down his sneezing and asthma attacks. Now he he has an OCD gf so he never has to worry about dust.

OT but in answer to Pixel, no springs in our box-springs, but found she was curling up on a small brace in it. Mysti found her first again but I got there in tome to see where.

28. Hi ferrettessa!
Yeah, I have some dust masks - somewhere. They're probably covered in dust.

What I really need is an OCD husband. One who doesn't mind cleaning and lifting heavy objects.

You know, I think Pixel might just enjoy the fight. Go, Pixie!

32. It is Mysti that enjoys the
fight, specially when she gets Pix while she is sound asleep. Pix just thinks if she hides she won't go in the cage. Both of them are deaf so I can't just call them and the screaming is louder even if they can't hear each other. I wish Pix and Peachy would realize if they didn't attack the others none of them would ever get caged. Mysti is just never going to forget and let it go now though.

The only OCD husbands I ever saw couldn't put clothes in a hamper, but next to it, filled the fridge with hot sauces and beer varieties and created dust.

39. Who knows
what the wind's gonna bring when the invalids sing
"La la's" with a powerful sting that'll stop any opera or any Bing
Sing, spread the news across the land
All winners will be also-rans

Achoo — one size fits everyone
Achoo — one breath, the deed has been done

Grey hair and a dash and a flair give your doctor an air
I'm hurt, but the choice that you made is an obvious one for a girl who needs care
I do hope that he makes you well
Say, is there any cure for hell?

Achoo — one size fits everyone
Achoo — one breath, the deed has been done
Sing, Ile de France and everywhere
You can't ignore that sort of air
Achoo — one size fits everyone
Achoo — one breath, the deed has been done

So, open wide, open wide and say, open wide and say goodbye, you'll be OK

Achoo — he's gonna whisk you away
Achoo — he's gonna make you OK
Achoo — he's gonna whisk you away
Achoo — he's gonna make you OK
Achoo — he's gonna whisk you away
Achoo — he's gonna make you OK
Achoo — he's gonna whisk you away
Achoo — he's gonna make you OK
