I heard this song "Punk Rocker" by the band "The Teddy Bears"

on my way to work. I'm listening and I think to myself, "Wow, that lead singer sounds like Iggy Pop." The dj comes on and says, "That was 'Punk Rocker' by the Teddy Bears featuring Iggy Pop."

It is a very catchy song -- kind of early 80's new wave sound with Iggy Pop vocals. Check it out...at the bottom of this page you can listen to it.

I see you're from LA and I listen to that station alot...and I heard today the same song and announcement afterwards.

I always switch over to 103.1 when Randi Rhodes takes a break. I just happened to catch the beginning of this song and listened to the whole thing so I could hear who it was.

I wonder what the rest of this band's stuff sounds like?
