Eleven days from now will be my first year anniversary on DU

Not on DU but in the Du Lounge although I have been a member longer then a year I mainly argued in GD politics.
And here is me a year ago .

I was heartbroken I didn't want to broadcast my relationship woes to my Real Life friends and family
I kept my pain bottled up .I was Hurt lonely and I needed advice and a friend or two!
My first post I received advice A lot that i didn't want to hear.But I needed to hear it!
My second relationship woe post I got more advice that was valuable But I still didn't understand it.
Two of the duers I just love to death now! But at the time I was like who the hell are they!
But they were right!! And in retrospect I wish i would have believed them.
Well anyways I broad casted and even ran my problems into the ground for months here.
little by little picking up friends here and there (all happen to be naughty girls fyi) thats why i love them so much!
A few via Pm really helped me and I won't embarrass them but they know who they are!
Well any how I morned..Picked myself up exercised stopped drinking 8-10 beers a night.
Started taking care of myself and lost 53 lbs.

I guess there are two reasons i am sharing my story.
One is to say thank you DU for changing my life!!
And second to let others know that you can be happy you can loose that weight.
You can change your life!!
and you can love yourself..Because if you don't who will!!

July '05 - Contractor at work starts placing himself in opportune places to run into me.
Introduces himself
Asks me out to dinner


I'm not interested in dating ANYONE - but am always willing to acquire new friends.

The guy is WAY persistent, and won't take no for an answer.

Fast forward through a year of bullshit you just would NOT believe -

Spring '06 - Tires punctured during the night.

A few months later - Tire stuck w/ knife during the night

late June '06 - Dog poisoned, almost dies.
2 days later - baited meat thrown in my yard again


Fast forward through even more unbelievable bullshit -

Girlfriend of FIVE YEARS calls me at work wondering who I am, and what I am to her boyfriend

Constant stalking - following me everywhere. Shows up shitfaced drunk wherever I go.

Late August '06 - my job gets burglarized. Not much taken - but they got my 2 top-notch PERSONAL laptops, including my brand new 17"
MacBook Pro that's still being paid for.

Sept '06 - Get a call that my father has had a heart attack - not sure if I need to fly home or not.
Drunk asshole calling and threatening multiple times per day/night while I'm trying to figure out what to do about my dad.
Drunk asshole finally leaves the state.

First FREE weekend - I T-Bone a deer doing 45 MPH less than a mile from home - break car.


yada yada waaaaaaaaaaa waaaaaaaaa .... And that's the super-duper condensed version!

Oh - and while I was typing this? I've got the stalker calling my home phone then my cell phone back and forth, repeatedly.


You'd never believe it - but I am a drama-free girl. I fucking HATE drama. Must be why I get so much lobbed in my direction.
