I started watching this movie called "9/11" on the Sundance Channel
this morning when I got home from work. It was a bunch of short films by filmmakers around the world with 9/11 as the theme.

I caught part of one story where this woman was sitting at a kitchen table drinking coffee and thinking about her relationship. The tv is on in the background and the viewere can see it, but she cannot. The events of 9/11 are happening but she doesn't react and we learn later that she is deaf and mute. We then see her typing a letter to her boyfriend telling him that she is leaving him (I missed why). She notices her dog barking at the door and she opens the door and her boyfriend is standing there covered in dust. She asks him what happened to him and he says "Haven't you been watching the television?" and then he breaks down and she hugs him and comforts him. That is how it ended.

The next short film that I saw took place in Africa in this poor village. A boy has to get a job to earn money to help pay for his mother's AIDS medication, so he can't go to school. He hears that the US has been attacked and, while he is selling newspapers, he learns that Osama Bin Laden is the man responsible. He sees a man that looks like Osama and plans to capture him for the 25 million dollar reward. His school friends agree to help him and they sneak around video taping the man as proof that Osama is in their village. I don't want to spoil the ending but this short film was really cute.

If you get a chance, watch this. I missed a lot of it because I came into it late and then fell asleep. Has anyone else seen it??
