For my daughter....WannaBeGrumpy...
Way To GO...Magglio!!!!

Sweet Baby, you have made watching baseball fun for your football loving Mama.

I guess genes can crossover... WannaB has become as rabid a baseball fan as her mama is a football fan (sigh...where did I go wrong). Her enthusiasm has led me to actually spend money on professional baseball games again. Of course, only right field bleachers, behind her favorite so it could be worse. She has been bitten so badly, she literally gets sick with each error, gets up and leaves, rewinds awesome plays , cries etc... MrG says he cannot bear to live with two of us, freaking out year round now. :D

Last night, the tivo worked overtime as she had to watch Magglio's 2 HRs about 25 times each, and played his player interview 4 times until I made her go to bed.

The kid is crazy. The kid is a blast to hang out with.

and I realized that MrG might have the cell with him on his travels. Silly me :silly:

Things here are about the same, not any worse, so that's cool. I'm just plugging along trying to get the train moving. We've been stalled in the tunnel long enough ;)

Thanks for asking

8. a girl after my own heart!!
there is just SOMETHING SPECIAL about the boys of summer...:loveya:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I6DCJtw-qyc

The boys of summer
Nobody on the road
Nobody on the beach
I feel it in the air
The summers out of reach
Empty lake,
Empty streets
The sun goes down alone
Im drivin by your house
Though I know youre not home
But I can see you-
Your brown skin shinin in the sun
You got your hair combed back and your
Sunglasses on, baby
And I can tell you my love for you
Will still be strong after the boys of
Summer have gone
I never will forget those nights
I wonder if it was a dream
Remember how you made me crazy?
Remember how I made you scream?
Now I dont understand whats happened
To our love,
But babe, Im gonna get you back
Im gonna show you what Im made of
I can see you-
Your brown skin shinin in the sun
I see you walkin real slow and youre smilin at everyone

I can tell you my love for you will still be strong
After the boys of summer have gone
Out on the road today I saw a deadhead sticker
On a cadillac
A little voice inside my head said, dont
Look back. you can never look back.
I thought I knew what love was,
What did I know?
Those days are gone forever
I should just let them go but-
I can see you-
Your brown skin shinin in the sun
You got that top pulled down and that radio on baby
And I can tell you my love for you will still be strong
After the boys of summer have gone
I can see you-
Your brown skin shining in the sun
You got that hair slicked back and
Those wayfarers on, baby
I can tell you my love for you will still be strong
After the boys of summer have gone

I would never accuse you of being a crappy bandwagoner. x(

But all of his stats are meaningless when all they can do is rack up the "L" column. :D SO go easy on MrG until at least the Tigers choke in the playoffs! :bounce:

You forgot the 1 INT. ;-)

It's never bothered me because he more than made up for it. It cracks me up when people start ragging on him for that because he's always been in the teens.
I still have "that feeling in my bones" that it will be okay. I just wish they'd fire the coach.

19. I rag on Favre
Because he is an asshole. Seriously. As loyal as I am to my team, if they have a player who is an ass, I will call him on it. Talent and team colors are no excuse. He is the typical "all-amurikan" jock moran. :puke:

He is in denial. He dismissed last year's bad season as a "fluke". If he doesn't retire after this year, he may yet rediscover that nasty pill habit. :P

They will finish maybe 6-10. At best. 7-9 if they get a lucky win.

28. I swore I would never watch a game, pay for a game, or talk about
a game for the rest of my life after the 90's strike. I didn't buy into the (I believe)fabricated "home run race" between Sosa and McGwire. In fact, a whole generation of players came and went practically.

I have broken my promise...and it makes me kind of happy.

31. a white sox fan says you are welcome
we miss him right now.
hubby spent the last of his small inheritance on a sox season ticket. we pooled up with 3 other people, so we have 4 seats together. last years sox finally really got hubby over his twin bitches of tearing down old comisky park (a long grudge, but tied into loosing his dad the same year.) and the big strike. he had been thawing for a while. but last years sox were SO much fun.
but he thinks that spending that kind of dough should mean you don't have to watch them loose, ever. quite a league when you can be 20 games over 500 and struggling to stay in contention. he wants to burn ozzie in effigy right about now.

I was teasing my daughter because I swear Magglio swaggered up to the plate on his last at bat. I had sworn to never watch another game after the strike and the screwing over of the replacement players.
