September bacteria
Yup, the kids are definitely back in school, when all the classrooms become like little petrie dishes of germs and bacteria and then they come back home and infect us all.

It's taken about two weeks, but now everyone in our family...and seemingly, everybody else, too...has a cold.

Greeeeat. :eyes: Thanks, kids.

In the meantime, pass the damn kleenex....*sniffle, sniffle*

1. Oh yeah, here too
LittleBookLover's nose has basically been runny since Day 1 at school. It has finally laid another household member low - the rest of us are waiting, cowed, for the bug attack.

4. During these times, we Purell all the time
I don't like over-using it, of course, but a swash of purell after wiping my child's nose I figure is prudent, since we're wiping every three minutes...

5. Hey you!
I'm not gonna let a little cold get me down, I'm just bitchin'...

Actually, I've been doing pretty damn well lately. I've been out on my bike quite a bit lately, training for an upcoming century (100 miles in a day) bikeride on October 1st. Yesterday I rode 75 miles! :woohoo:

How are YOU doing lately, my dear? How are you feeling? :loveya: Hope all's well.

8. Well...........things are sort of interesting.......
I am fine, though.....

We'll have to chat one of these days.......I'll catch you up......

Good for you on the bike riding!

I prefer the stationary one at my gym.........that way, I don't have to worry about where the road's going!

:loveya:

6. I don't even go to school, or have a kid in school, and
my stomach's been a bit queasy at times lately. I might have gotten a mild case just from going to stores, even though I use Purell.

9. We are holding out here...but it's coming.
5 kids...elementary and preschool. I am astonished we aren't sick yet.

We've radially altered our diet to mostly fruits, veg and protein, in an attempt to get healthier. Don't know how long it will pay off. So far...so good. But I am not hopeful.

11. Maybe in order to get smaller class sizes, we should
Edited on Mon Sep-18-06 06:40 PM by Jamastiene
start a referendum saying that overcrowded classes spread germs. We can use the angle that we are attempting to fight the war on terruh.

I've already been sick once since the beginning of September too and I'm in community college. There are just too damn many people in the same room sneezing and drooling to avoid all the germs. People are sick.
