Don't know anything about it except what they say, which is that the writer is a Princeton computer science prof as noted here: http://www.freedom-to-tinker.com/?page_id=825
Sounds plausible at least, doesn't it? Anyway, much as it may sound like something from the Onion, it seems to be on the up and up. Probably worth posting in GD if somebody hasn't already.
