I don't make a habit of it, but occasionally I'll run in for emergency food in the wee hours before I get my work garb off. Even in Las Vegas that results in a few photo opportunities with insomniac or graveyard-shift locals. :D

3. Elvis impersonators are like priests
they're giving that live performance.
Haven't you seen the small film "Mondo Elvis"?
That's a quote from Artie Mentz the Elvis impersonator.

Like a priest, you always got to be available when the masses need you, man.

10. That's true
People even want us to marry them. To each other, I mean.

Haven't seen the film, though. But there's a film about impersonators -- Almost Elvis -- in which a scholar makes the same comparison.

I'm a Presleytarian. :-)

But then, mine is pretty much a 24/7 job and I can't expect my secretary to always be there to go grab me a snack, you know? I mean, it's gotta have its own feeding time.

16. I don't have a studded, bejeweled jumpsuit.

x(

But I do have lots of leather. I haven't walked into a store wearing just a thong under my chaps but I hear that's acceptable attire in south Florida.

22. Yep, my usual garb is leather
Only because I do all my errands via motorcycle and hardly ever get out of the house these days unless I'm in leather or Elvis stuff.

I don't have a leather thong, though. :D

17. I should have listed
this in the "I haven't..." thread from a couple of weeks ago.

i can relate to your experience/s, though.

on the few occasions i have gone to grocery store with my wings out, it has caused quite the stir. ;) :D

i spend a lot of time explaining to people that i am a Faery not an angel, and one who (apparently) loves food!
