So, how many of YOU go to the store in your flannel pajamas?
Just came back from the store, and the woman in line ahead of me was wearing her flannel pajamas. I'm totally into being comfortable in what I wear, but going to the store in your jammies is just a bit much.

2. I saw 3 people in their pajamas today
or at least they looked like pajamas, but were probably normal costumes in
some west african country, that when transported to inverness, look like pajamas.

8. What this woman was wearing were definitely pajamas.
Unless there's a country where pale blue flannel jammies with dark blue stars on the is the official dress.

20. thin cotton print clothing
with fancy colours and designs (very pretty ones), but very loud,
a simple thin pantaloon, and a long shirt, 'Khurta/Pajama' is the name of an indian shirt,
in india and its pantaloon, nice ones made out of silk, probably in the romantic old times a century
or more ago, a silk costume from india was seemed a romantic garment, and now
we walk the streets in them.

Its the official dress of warm weather, perhaps the person is just a global warming optimist.

And I don't wear flannel pajamas.

I don't like flannel pajamas, actually, mostly because I can never find any where the legs are long enough for me.

18. I can't imagine it, either
unless it's a Hallowe'en costume or the like.

There was a fad about 8 years ago or so - sleep pants that were worn as day wear; they were flannel, I believe. Perhaps they are just a bit behind the times? ;)

Hope you're doing well, SeattleGirl!

19. If I could, I would.
Sadly, I live in a suburban environment that is rapidly become Snottville, USA. Sucks. If I wore PJs to the store, I would have rotten vegetables thrown at me.

21. Well, I would never make a comment (OR throw anything) at
someone out in public wearing PJ's. I'd be more likely to react in a negative way to snottyness -- I hate that. I just thought it was weird that that woman wore her pajamas to the store, but that's me. I have this Emily Post streak in me that would not allow me to do such a thing. :hi:

Even in winter we can wear shorts and T-shirts most of the time.

25. I've done it.
Edited on Sun Sep-17-06 06:17 PM by Dangerously Amused

= hangs head =

It's late, or I'm sick, and I need something from the store (ie, feminine products, contact solution, whatever. I wouldn't do this for, say, Ben and Jerry's) and I'm already in my jammies with face scrubbed up and teeth brushed and ready for bed. And I just don't feel like putting on makeup and clothes and making myself "presentable," only to come home in fifteen minutes to wash it all off and change again. So yeah, I've done it. I try to get in and out quickly and make no eye contact while I'm there. If my head is in the game I'll try to avoid the security cameras, too. We don't need any photographic proof of my little midnight jammie excursions.

I do draw the line at wearing slippers instead of actual shoes, though. A girl's gotta have some class.

27. Heck with the make-up. I do go out with a nekkid face,
especially late at night if I need to go out to the store. I try not to scare too many people!

29. Yeah.

I mean I don't wear an overload of makeup, but I do still get acne sometimes so I feel self-conscious if I don't at least conceal that, is all. Sometimes I'll go without though, it depends on the circumstances. Like how lazy I am.

But you just KNOW I'm going to run into Mr. Wonderful one of these nights at the grocery store when I'm standing among the fruit in my jammies with no makeup.

I know, I know. Vanity, thy name is DA.

35. To bed or in general?
;)

I wear French terry, regular terry, or plain cotton lounge pants. I don't think I own anything specifically designated as pajamas. In summer, I wear a t-shirt, tank or camisole with the pants; in winter, I wear a sweatshirt with them.

The ones this woman had on were very obviously pajamas. But as I said, to each their own. It just struck me as funny.

38. Hilarious! Just last night, some guy was picking up his pizza
at Papa Murphy's when I went in there, wearing his pajama bottoms, and I thought it was a rather odd fashion statement. He was with his girlfriend, so she obviously approved of him leaving the house in that particular state!
