How was your day?
Lounge is going sorta slow, so how was your day, what are some current things that you are worrying about, and how is life?

My day has been good...spent most of it cooking, and watching football. My MIL bought me a wma player, that was sweet, and it shocked me. My MIL is one sweet old lady...:)

My current worries...the usual suspects...worried about friends, family...and life has been looking up recently for my wife and I. Two close personal friends are going through some...hell right now, and its got me worried, but otherwise...I'm doing rather...good for a change!...how about you?

What'd you cook? :hi:

It was a pretty good Saturday, though rainy. Here's what this morning looks like:

3. a ton of pinto beans...
Tammy is putting on a get together this coming saturday for work, and her american indian resource group is feeding 100 people indian tacos. The other night we spent 330 bucks on food items at Sams, and we spent all day preparing the pinto beans. They smell/taste great! We cooked 10lbs worth of dry beans, let them cool off, and then put them in gallon bags, and then froze them...so next saturday all we have to do is defrost/heat them up and they are good to go. Later on today, I got 40lbs of hamburger meat to cook, and we will do the same process, putting them in gal bags, and freezing them.

The only thing we have to cook on saturday will be fried bread, and Tammy has a good handful of old Haskell buddies coming down to help out. Tammy also has two groups putting on basket weaving/story telling clinics...it should be rather interesting....:)

2. Sucked
First AFLAC denied my claim, don't know why but I am going to cancel the coverage if they aren't going to pay me. My new "girlfriend" decided that we can't see each other anymore because even though she really likes me and there is a strong attraction she is convinced that there really isn't a future so we shouldn't go on. Notre Dame got their asses kicked and now I am at work. I would continue on more about how this day sucked but I am afraid I would hang myself from a strong pipe if I did.

5. Well...
Sorry to hear you had a bad day, here is a brew, on me...:toast: I fully understand the frustration with insurance companies. Last year, my wife and I had to do the dance of futility with Safeco for 5 months before we got our money, it was a HELLISH time...

As for your girl friend...maybe she didn't love you as much as you thought, and there is someone better for you out there...but dont' listen to me, my sage advice on women is very very limited. My experience with women have been...rather bleak...but, hang in there...:) :hi:

As for Notre Dame...I'm sorry they lost, I really didnt' have a dog in that fight, I was all about the OU/Oregon game today...but who knows, the way college football is, anything can happen, ND could still possibly get into a very good BOWL game...:hi:

8. Well I put girlfriend in quotes
because we hadn't really established what was going on. We used to work together, and we were spending a lot of time together and things had progressed as they sometimes tend to with 2 people who are attracted to one another. Now I didn't have a clue that she felt this way about me, and I had my head so far up my ass with my wife leaving, but she did. So anyway we have spent the last 3 weeks hanging out pretty steady, but she was a little unsure of things. She did understand that I am still married, but legally separated. I haven't spoken to my wife in almost 6 months, so that wasn't a problem for her, it is that she has specific goals on how she wants to live her life and she doesn't think that we would be a good match. She wants to save the world, so that is why she is leaving the nursing profession to become a social worker, me I am moving on to become a CRNA to make thousands more dollars a year. She got into a bad crowd in HS, RW Fundies (but she is over it now, convinced there is no God,) but there still is a lot of guilt when it comes to male and female relationships. She just felt that if it wasn't going to lead to marriage, maybe we shouldn't continue and that she felt that she was using me just to make herself feel better and not so lonely. Well I explained that I was okay with that but it didn't seem to matter. She wanted a few days to think about it, and usually the attraction for each other wins out, but there is something different this time. I didn't want to get married, I was just looking for someone to sit on the couch and watch House and make out with occasionally, oh well.

....Fucking Notre Dame, that is still pissing me off.

10. Maybe its a
good thing your "girl friend" is doing this...might give you pause, and take another look at the situation. I fully understand your feelings about getting remarried. If I ever divorced my wife...I would never, EVER get married again, and my drive to do so would be nil.

My best friend is in a somewhat similiar situation that you described...he divorced his wife, and started dating a coworker, and she had the exact same issue that your woman seems to have, concerning marriage...and she called it off. My bud, really didn't care all that much...after going through his hellish divorce, a little break up to him was nothing...he currently has been with his new girlfriend for well over a year, and both are on the same page...

Both love one another, both enjoy each others company, and both don't want diddley squat to do with marriage...so, maybe this little break up, is a good thing, perhaps...

As for ND...sorry, thats all I can say...I am a Seahawk fan, and after getting beat in the Superbowl, I believe I can understand the frustration you have about your sports team...but I'm use to failure, but my Hawks were so damn close! ARRRRGGGHHH>>>>>>now you got me upset!!!

Just kidding...

besides, its not loaded....I just got rid of two armadillos' about two minutes before this picture. Seeing armadillo's out in the late afternoon is rare, and those little @%$@%$%$@#@$#$...they tear our yard apart. Its weird going from Alaska wildlife, to sw missouri pest life...but, back home the pests are bears, and moose...which, they can really put the hurt on you if you are not careful, especially moose...
