7. I agree...
One of the best driving songs ever made...

That and Radar Love and Goin' Down by Jeff Beck...

You just can't drive the speed limit when those songs come on the radio...

I just love good music, and helps that my parents had great taste in music. :D

10. I grew up on the album "Burn"
The title track and "Lay Down Stay Down" were the standouts. I love Ian Paice's drumming.

:headbang:
(Blackmore/Gillan/Glover/Lord/Paice)

Peeping round the door I got a big surprise
Couldn't see a thing but open skies
They've taken her away where is she now

Wish that she was here wish she'd hold my hand
Maybe she could laugh maybe understand
Why was I so cruel where is she now

Acting like a fool I had to make her cry
Maybe I'm a Leo but I ain't a lion
I'm hurting oh so bad, I want her now

15. I voted for "Hush", but
"Maybe I'm a Leo" is a very close second. In fact, all of "Machine Head" is fantastic.

20. There should be a category for favorite DP songs not by DP
Easy Living and Stealin' by Uriah Heep are both classic Deep Purple songs, though Deep Purple never wrote them or played them.

23. I've got quite a few:
"Knockin' at Your Back Door", "Perfect Strangers", and "Nobody's Home" off the Perfect Strangers CD, and "Lazy" off of Machine Head. I pretty much like everything I've heard by them, even the oft-played "Smoke on the Water" hasn't grown stale on me yet.
