Why is it whenever I get too sick to eat most foods I crave the worst?

Right now I can barely handle soup. So what am I craving? Why, spicy food of course. It's taking all my willpower not to drag my sick, smelly carcass to my car and go get a takeout burrito and some chips and salsa. What else sounds good? A dish I'd have to spend an hour on my feet to make, don't have all the ingredients for and have stomach trouble with on the best day.

My body clearly hates me. Hrmph.

1. Because you're weird.

When I'm sick I crave ramen. The kind that's like $0.10 a packet. I actually always have some of the Oriental flavor around. I know they're gross, but it's a total guilty pleasure.

2. I got some vegan ramen at the food coop

but it has MSG in it and gives me headaches, which seems like a ripoff considering that on sale it's still almost a buck for something everybody else gets for a dime.

3. The Top Ramen Oriental is vegan and a dime.

It still has MSG though. It's the kind that I buy.
