Has anybody ever been referred to a PHYSIATRIST? No, this is NOT

a typo. I had never heard of this medical specialty before last week. Have you ever gone to someone with this moniker???

Here's what I'm dealing with:

Lower back pain and some radiating pain/numbness down my leg.

Physical therapy (2 sessions) have had some effect, but still on painkillers (Percocet) and uncomfortable.

I looked up the term in Wikipedia and here's what came up:

2. I have. I deal with them all the time.

I'm a vocational rehab counselor, and deal with people injured on the job. Lots of them end up going to physiatrists.
