DU Chefs - OK to use baking stone to bake cookies?

DU Chefs - OK to use baking stone to bake cookies?
I know one is supposed to use a cooled baking sheet when baking cookies, but I don't have one, and I'd have to scrub pans in oder to get to a substitute. Or, I could use my pizza stone, which actually is only used for breads and biscuits (and so doesn't have pizza grease and taste baked into it). Any opinions as to whether it's safe to use the stone, or will I just end up making my cookies spread far and wide?

1. I use my baking stone for cookies all the time. I'm not a chef, just
a housewife who likes to cook and bake. I also use mine for pizza and my cookies have never tasted like pizza. :hi:

That's what I wanted to hear :D I so didn't want to scrub one of the broiling pans clean enough for cookie use. I'm off to bake!

3. I use my baking stone for cookies too.
It's great because the stone helps prevent the cookies from getting too done on the bottom if you were to leave them a minute or two longer in the oven.

6. Ooh, yes you should....
Wonderful for pizza, "brownie pie", cookies, breads... anything that you want to cook very evenly! :hi:
