Stop all the E. Coli hate!
E. Coli is all around us, on every surface in your home probably. It's on your keyboard, your glasses, your doorknobs, your countertop.
It's in our digestive tract, and it helps us digest our food. They use e coli for all kinds of recombinant DNA procedures, including the production of insulin for diabetics.

Don't let the actions of a small rogue group influence your opinion of the vast majority of e. coli.

1. Hear, Hear!
If it wasn't for "good bacteria"
we would all be in big trouble.!!

So,why are these lil dudes OK living in our intestines,
but if we ingest them, we will die?

Did I get that right?

9. There's somewhere around
2,000+ variants of Escherichia coli, there are only a couple that cause the hemolytic cell distruction like the 0157:H7 goo.

You get E. coli on you every time you flush the toilet - your toothbrush, towel, clothes, etc - no big deal.

Just cook your food well, no ceviche tonight!

11. I've heard lately
that there are FAR more bacteria on a desk, a phone, or on money than there are on toilet seats.

I'm calling for a stop to all the toilet seat bigotry! :P

Toilet seats are some of my best friends!

howdy! :hi:

Edit to add that in college I once swabbed and streaked out a plate from between my lab partners toes. The product was a combination of pseudomonas and some other black fuzzy mold.

yeah, toilet seats are okay with me!

4. Damn,
and I was hoping to use the spinach in lieu of laxitives to lose some wait. Guess I picked a bad day to start the e-coli diet.

(with appologies to anyone who has actually gotten sick from e-coli)
