Microsoft™ unveils ZUNE, an original new product they invented themselves!

Available this holiday season in the United States, Zune includes a 30GB digital media player,
the Zune Marketplace music service and a foundation for an online community that will enable music fans to discover new music.
The Zune device features wireless technology, a built-in FM tuner and a bright, 3-inch screen that allows users to
not only show off music, pictures and video, but also to customize the experience with personal pictures or themes
to truly make the device their own.
Zune comes in three colors: black, brown and white.

Rumor has it that they will have a hip, stylish
new ad campaign to sell it:

A dozen other companies do it, no big deal. Microsoft does it? "ZOMG TEH RIP0FF!1!!!"

They're just putting their hat in the ring of a pretty popular market. Did you post the same thing when Creative put out the Zen, or when Cowon put out the iAudio? (Christ, why am I defending Microsoft?)

5. Calm down-it's all in good fun.
This _IS_ the LOUNGE, y'know.

I just find it AMAZING that MS couldn't manage
to make this look DIFFERENT from an iPod.
THAT"S what is so LAME it's funny.

CellPhones all do the same things, yet there
are dozens of very different designs out there
to do them.

You can't tell me MS can't afford a decent designer.

Apple stole everything from Zerox.

And I am pretty sure there were both video and audio players before the over priced ipods came along.

8. 30 Gig?
Didn't Apple just come out with an 80 Gig ipod? Why would somebody want a ripoff of last year's ipod? :wtf:

10. MS sacrificed some gigs in favor of more features. Wireless, etc...
They are hoping this will just be the PROTOTYPE
for the full-feature portable Dmedia "Access all Areas"
device of the future.

I was just making fun of the fact that they couldn't
come up with an original HOUSING for their little
miracle-machine, and just copied the look of the iPod.
