I've had him for over 10 years, and he seems decent, but I just don't like him. Little bedside manner. Never a fun day when I visit him. Going to get a new one with the excuse that the new one is closer to where I live.

I will take the time to look, because finding a good doctor is more important than the personality of the doctor.

My appointment today went ok. He wasn't as lecturing, irritating, or alarmist as usual. Blood pressure was high because of how I get nervous going to him, but he says that as long as my home readings are low, there's no reason to change course.

I'm sorry to hear about your employer. That does suck.

I'm working today for my clinic's in-house optometrist. It's basically a narcolepsy telethon. Nothing to do.

Give me challenging stuff any day. I'm a blood-pressure-cuff-and stethoscope kind of guy. Let me DO stuff; draw blood, give shots, run tests, help a disabled patient, anything!

Still, boring is better than shitty. I'm sorry you're having a rough day. :hug:

which resulted in the whole school being in lockdown for the rest of the day.

I fell asleep about a half-hour in, and Ih ad to use the bathroom very badly. My friend also fell asleep, but someone put makeup on him.

Yep, right there with ya. Got a bill from the dentist. Instead of $78 like I was told at the office, it's $430. They apparently did not take my kind insurance, but didn't tell me that. My SO got laid off last week so I'll just this bill to all the others we can't pay.
Oh, and ACL Fest is this weekend and my town is one giant traffic jam!

16. I don't understand how companys can get away with that shit

If I made a screwup on anything financial, you can bet I'd catch hell and have to pay it back ASAP, no matter who it was. But when it's a creditor or an employer, it seems like they can get away with murder.

It's like the government - I have a friend whose mother is entitled to a refund from some tax mistake on the part of the IRS - she's been waiting on it for 2 years! But you can bet your ass if she was a month late paying her taxes, they'd be banging on the door.

Sorry you're going through that. Very few of us make enough money for things like that not to matter.
