Poll question: How often do you go professional sporting events?
Edited on Thu Sep-14-06 08:51 PM by mvd
Usually once a year for me. I watch sports on TV most of the time. I plan on going to a Philadelphia Eagles game this year.

2. A few times, various sports
I catch a few Cardinal baseball games, a couple of Blues hockey games, and I plan on seeing Ohio State on the road at Illinois and Iowa this year.

Trying to talk the wife into letting me go to a few Vikings games in the next year or two, butthat's a bit pricey when you factor in gas and hotel.

3. I usually hit a few per year
in fact, I just got tickets to see the Red Sox vs. the Yankees this Saturday in NY.

I just moved to the area after being Massachusetts born-n-bred, so it's a dream come true. It's next to impossible to get Sox/Yankees tix, but a friend came through for me!

I go to about 10 or 15 NHL games a year too. Baseball rarely.

5. I put many times a year
since I pay more for my SEC team's season tickets (basketball & football) than I would (per game) for tickets to NFL & NBA games.

12. The Sally League is indeed pro ball
One of the oldest and most hallowed minor leagues in baseball.

And college — D-1, anyway — may as well be the pros.

8. Quite often now that I think about it
About 40 games of minor league pro hockey, 3 NHL games last year, one World Baseball Classic game, two MLB games, 2 NBA games, one major league lacrosse game, and if you want to count D1 college football (the prices and attendance are similar)6 Arizona State football games. The minor league hockey is pretty inexpensive but still, until you asked the question, I hadn't thought about it. 50+ pro sports games a year is somewhat excessive.

Unfortunatley I haven't been to enough at one place to justify naming the arena after myself. This year my venues were:
Palace of Auburn Hills-Auburn Hills, MI
US Airways Center--Phoenix, AZ
Dodger Stadium-LA, CA
Sun Devil Stadium-Tempe, AZ
Comerica Park-Detroit, MI
Glendale Arena-Glendale, AZ
Orleans Arena-Las Vegas, NV
IMA Sports Arena-Flint, MI

16. NHL/MLB and minors
I polled once or twice a year, Since i would go to a ball game once or twice and an NHL game once or twice some years (and minors of both) and none other years (i haven't been to any yet this year) but i'd say i'd avg once or twice a year...
