Endometritis
My best friend Gwen suffers from endometritis. Her doctor told her that the only cure is a hysterectomy. I (as a male) am totally against this. Is this really the the only cure? Isn't there something else that Gwen can do? It just seems so radical.

Q

Women DU'er input would be greatly appreciated.

3. I was told the exact same thing when I was 38.
Went off dairy. Never had a hysterectomy.

5. Elimination Of Dairy?
That did it for you? I will tell Gwen to ask her MD about that possibility.

7. Yes. No dairy. And I suffered for years until I discovered that.
It's been 20 years since I changed my diet. No problems since.

6. How old is she? How much is she suffering?
I have endo and have been able to control it through diet and lifestyle changes (weight loss, etc.), but my friend has a very severe case and after having her two children had a hysterectomy at age 38 because she couldn't stand the pain any longer.

She should definitely get a second (and possibly a third and fourth...) opinion. Good luck to her. :hi:
