Every current "pop punk" band sings the same damn song
That song where the singer cleverly changes the key of his voice for no reason and the rest of the band acts all bad ass playing the same chords as everyone else. The really bad assed ones actually have TATTOOS!

At least suckass U2 has their own song, the one that they sometimes play fast and sometimes slow. Pants.

2. I don't like much of the newer stuff at all.
I agree with you. It all sounds the same nowadays. The old stuff is way better.

7. The Buzzcocks should demand biiiilyuns . . .
as much as they and the Descendents get ripped off. Pop punk bands are just shit lousy. Absotively NO variety whatsoever and it all just sounds castrated.

8. Well, that's your opinion

I think there's good and bad like in most genres. On the radio, more bad than good, especially with male pop-punk.

10. I can tell you the exact time when rock and roll started to die:
When bands started naming their tours. Now, when you look in the entertainment section of the newspaper, every nickel-and-dime band, whether washed-up one-hit geezers, or not-even-one-hit "who the hell are they?" two-bit bar band, is currently on its "Insert meaningless but pretentious-sounding phrase here 2006" tour.

Yes, I know, the reason is t-shirt sales. Yeesh.

12. Well..
I still say rock is not dead, but Tom Petty might have been right that things got worse when ticket prices rose.

13. 95.6% of the music today is shit...
100% if you only count the crap the major labels try to cram down our throats.
