Got a reprieve. She's been offered two more weeks at her temp assignment, and that's two more weeks to find a more permanent solution. And they're starting to actively try to find her permanent placement :woohoo:

I found out at 7:45 this morning that I have two more weeks of work. That's good in that it buys me time and I get two more checks. The downside? I will reconcile the same 205 page report another 11 times. I'll sort and fold and put in envelopes thousands of invoices. Then I will remove the staples from the documents from the lockbox another dozen times.

I'm grateful to have a job at all. I'm just sorry that I had to re-work my resume to emphasize specific work experience and to date, I haven't done a single task related to the re-work.

I *do* feel like I'm living Groundhog Day. The alarm goes off the same time every single morning and every single day's the same. :shrug:

Everyone's support means so very much to me. It's been a very, very long two years.

edited to add - It also feels like a busload of kids are singing "99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall" and they keep starting over. Again and again! :banghead:
