This time tomorrow I'm going to be 600km North-North West of Victoria, on the beautiul, unspoiled North Coast of Vancouver Island, and maybe up to the Gulf of Alaska.

Yeah, right! Hell yes I'm jealous. I have been to Vancouver Island, but never north of Nanaimo., and never on the western side of the island, which I've read has been heavily logged. Good luck with your project.

8. Ah, yes, a great time indeed!

I'm in Port Hardy, and the rest of the crew arrive tomorrow.

The hotel they rented up here was overbooked, so I got bumped up into a resort :P . I'm right now looking out over the bay, watching seagulls dive for dinner, while the setting sun hits the snow-capped mountains on the horizon.

But I've been driving for 8 hours, so I'm going for a nosh and a walk.
