4. Questlove is a good drummer. I know that much.
Most people I know who use the phrase "rap band," though, use it in reference to solo acts. For example: "What's that rap band that does 'Gold Digger'?" :P

11. Indeed.
People who can't appreciate rap are best left ignored. Occasionally rolled over so they don't get bed sores.

13. "having been" is the operative phrase.
Old people "had been" all sorts of things they aren't anymore.

16. In my case, wiseass, it's because of a physical disability.

If you ever go through what I went through and lose your ability to do what you did for a living, you might appreciate that.

That's one thing that old age brings is some fucking perspective about other people.

20. Oh, I know a thing or twelve about old age.
But there's a difference between the body aging, and the mind going to pot.

28. hey no need for any of this
old age or not stop acting like kids

redstone - sorry for the snark, but it's obviously music with a deep and rich history that goes back centuries (do you want me to write a thesis on it? i could). there's a lot of things that i don't like but i don't dismiss them offhand because they don't fit my tastes. being a musician is not a qualifier for generalizations about something that you've never cared for enough to learn anything about it.

18. I still contend it's a symptom of being...
Ignorant about a genre which you just happen to have an aesthetic dislike for. (And some odd compulsion to be an ass about it.)

29. No, you don't get to dismiss an entire genre as not being music...
Just because you don't like it.

10. Tecnically it's correct.
A "band" is just a group of people organized for some purpose.
