What's your experience been?
Two weeks ago today, I mailed a donation to DU--a money order in an envelope (with a return address) which I took to the P.O. and had them date stamp.

Two weeks later to the day, Skinner has not received.

I've never had mail go missing to the U.S.; in fact, the service has always been pretty darn good--three to five days.

Yes, perhaps I should have paid by credit card but just don't like to.

Before I become too paranoid (as in believing the envelope has been intercepted), have any of you experienced mail problems to DU?? Skinner tells me that mail to Washington is very slow, so maybe I should mellow out for another week before having the MO re-issued.

1. I have always donated via credit card, my dear AlwaysQuestion...
So I have no idea as to whether or not your experience is typical.

It does sound strange though.........

I wouldn't suspect anyone of having intercepted it........

That's just a little too paranoid for me!

I would tend to believe Skinner if he told you the mail to DC is slow...

I'd give it another week!

:hi:

2. Yeah, I would say that it's just slow mail

My last donation to DU was via check and it took freakin' forever to get there and get my thank you letter back (by "freakin' forever," I mean about two or three weeks). I wouldn't worry. :)

3. Chilling out even as I write
Gee, California and Zombie, okay, I'll chill out and think positively, so long as you know that if by the end of next week I don't have a star by my name, you will find me wallowing in deep paranoia and screaming bloody murder. I love the dramatic.

Kiddin' aside, thanks. I really will try and set my concern aside.
