Did you watch Dangerfield's show on Comedy Central? Adam Sandler...
came across as the total fucking moron ass he is. Every time he spoke he sounded like a fucking dumbass dipshit, and I felt embarassed for him, except that I can't stand him, so I laughed instead.

And Jay Leno had no right to be on that show at all.

But it was wonderful to see some real comedians talking about Rodney: Roseanne Barr, Sandra Bernhard, Robert Klein, Bill Maher, Norm MacDonald, Bill Murray, Chris Rock...

3. I thought it was DU policy, after the Steve Irwin fiasco,
that is impolite and rude to speak ill of the dead? All hail Sts. Hitler and Pol Pot!

Just kidding - I don't mind that you find him boring. I liked him better in film than live - I also found his shtick was a little too much to sustain a whole evening of stand up; but his humor was frickin' genius.

2. Sandler is a no talent ass who makes movies for twelve year old boys.
So what if he hooks up his pals like no talent Rob Schneidler, another no talent jerk who makes pervy movies for twelve year olds.

4. I've always told hubby that Adam Sandler was incredibly
lame. :P Now he believes me.

I loved Rodney Dangerfield. :) My husband loved him too and always said he reminded him of his Uncle Jack. When Rodney died, hubby wrote his family an email and told them how much Rodney meant to him. Rodney's wife answered him with a very nice email a few days later. :)

The tribute on Comedy Central was nice.

6. It was, overall, a very well done and excellent show.
Worth watching! A really nice retrospective of his life in comedy without going sensationalistic about his private life. Quite refreshing to see.

9. The Shatner roast I found offensive and awful.
Very little creativity in the roast; mostly just easy sex jokes and other rudeness. I was very disgusted with it.

12. gay Sulu jokes
Seem to be all the rage. I turned off the roast after a few minutes of them. Then Family Guy had gay Sulu jokes this week.

No wonder the poor guy waited so long to come out.

10. Yeah, I don't "get" Adam Sandler.
Who likes him?
Who goes to his movies?
12 year olds?
I just don't understand.

13. Norm MacDonald is a bigger dick than Sandler
But I definitely approved of all the Rodney worship. I first became aware of him when he hosted SNL back in the late 70's, and I laughed my young ass off. That was before 'Caddyshack' sealed the deal. Along with Carlin, Pryor, and Kinison, he is in my Eternal Comic Pantheon.
