My wife just got her promotion.....:)
Edited on Wed Sep-13-06 01:53 PM by petersond
She just called me, and she got that band 2 management job she interviewed for last week. The people doing the hiring told her she was a shoe in, but we took it with a grain of salt, and they offered the job to her today, and she accepted.

She goes from 31 a year, to 41,000 a year, a decent jump for us! Now, we can finally afford gas, and actually go somewhere on the weekends!...:)

edit:grammar/spelling

4. yes it does, especially for her
she has been doing the job of band 4 managers, who get 50-60 a year, and doing a better job than them, and finally she got soem recognition for her work...its a sad day when a lowly grunt makes upper management look like morons....:)

"Where have you been, missy?" <--- That made me laugh. :spray: It's what my lil bro, granny and mom say if I go more than a week or so without calling. I've just been busy this week. x(

I hope you'll PM me a link to the article when it appears. Congratulations to Turtlelowe. She sounds like an amazing woman.

for certain...she was dealing with two NT reporters today, talking about the pros/cons of american indians in corporate america, and the discussion was very ...good IMO...:) We have a HUGE social for her job, a week from saturday, we are serving indian tacos for 100plus people...man, its going to be a chore, but work always takes a bit of sweat...:)

She has Wes Studi coming to speak at her job in November as well...I get to met the Sphinx/Magwae.....:)

16. yes, I almost shaved it off tonight...
but I think I'm going to let it go until april...summer is over, I believe...our temps have been a lot cooler, so its not as irritating. Last year I let it go for 4 months and I had a decent one going...but summer hit, and when it was 95 degrees, I had to shave it off..it was bugging the living hell out of me...:)

Wes Studi...yes, a fellow cherokee too. I never knew he was cherokee, and when I found out he was, I was shocked...I had him pegged for Cheyenne...:) Studi grew up in...Kenwood, I believe, and thats were my MIL is from....
