Any Wikipedia editors here? Advice for a newbie?
I just got a Wikipedia account when I saw an article that needed to be edited. But I am afraid to jump right in there, because there is so much to learn. I read the intro, and several other pages. If there is an easier-to-follow tutorial than theirs, or a basic template one can use and add in their own content, that would be great.

Any input is appreciated:-)

just get a D on their term paper. And it serves them right for counting on wiki. I found a wiki on a barely semi famous musician who stiffed me on three months back rent and I wrote what a total immoral shit he was. It stayed up for a month. Don't get me wrong, I use wiki and love it but its just wiki. Hope no one flames me but hey, thats how I feel.

2. Content isn't really what I am concerned about...
although now that you mention it, I'll be sure to keep an eye on any future page I submit to make sure you haven't done your magic on me! LOL

Since I posted this topic, I got tired of reading the long, drawn-out, dry, roundabout instructions. I hit "random article" about 100 times, looking for examples that covered most typical aspects of the format (table of contents, notes, external links, etc). I guess I'll just grab the code from those, stick it in a document and edit out their content. Then I'll have made my own template. I can learn more as I go.

Thanks for the kick, and sorry about the musician!
