Believe it or not I just saw The Sixth Sense and I didn't know the end!

We bought the DVD and every time that I saw the movie on (whether in the store or in the hotel) I avoided it like the plague. I did not want to know the ending until I was ready for it.

And now I'm sending it off to my mom who also hasn't seen it. She's going to love it.

Where that happens to Bruce Willis is a great movie. That's why I also liked his meteorite movie.

6. That's the major reason why I enjoyed the film so much....

I think that's why I liked the movie so much. Any film in which the ending sequence not only comes out of left field, but is unlooked for makes me enjoy the movie so much more. Dark City is another film that did that to me.

Although re-watching the film because an excercise in "how-did-I-miss-that-the-first-time?"...

8. Dark City and...

LOVE "Dark City." But I tend to like odd movies, many that critics pan or ignore, for example: "The Thirteenth Floor," "Dogma" or "12 Monkeys." The first of those three I found to be quite the romance too... Most people think sex makes the romance. Far too often, unfortunately, it ruins it. It's either gratuitous, superfluous or scripted and shot with lust, not romance, in mind.

I thought it was way obvious. I saw it the second night it came out, before word of mouth, because I like mysteries. But there was no mystery. It really surprised me that it became a hit.

9. I figured it out early on but only because of all the talk...

About their being a "twist". So I was looking for something along the way and that really stuck out to me. If I had seen it on opening day prior to all the "twist" hype I wouldn't have gotten it. But being so aware that there was some big hoo ha about it, then it seemed obvious.

But the message of the movie hit me like a ton of bricks. Some people I've talked to never got the message and were astounded when I clued them in.

.. because of that I enjoyed the hell out of it.

I usually try and figure a movie out and just went with it this time. It was great.
