Emperor Turg IV Of Planet Zork Endorses Howard Dean
The steady stream of support for Howard Dean flowed on today as the Democratic frontrunner received yet another endorsement -- this time from Emperor Turg IV of the Planet Zork.

“The people of Zork firmly believe that Howard Dean has a pretty darn good shot of finishing within the top two places in 2004 presidential race if he is selected as the Democratic candidate,” Emperor Turg stated.

Emperor Turg's announcement represents the first intergalactic support for any 2004 presidential candidate on either side of the political aisle and was quickly met with a mixture of derision and envy by fellow Democratic contenders.

“It just goes to show that once again that the leaders of Zork are out of touch with the ordinary Zorkian,” asserted Joseph Lieberman. “My views are far more representative of the average creature from outer space.”

2. You are probably right
I just thought it was funny and felt the need to inject a little humor into this forum full of spats.

3. To be completely honest....
I would have to say that this is quite an accurate reflection of the other candidates whenever Dean gets an important endorsement, and maybe people just need to be able to see the lighter side, which all of us are finding increasingly difficult at this stage in the lead-up to the election.

4. Gee... thought Zorkian endorsement locked it up for Dean
Seemed like it was all downhill once the Zorkians gave Dean the nod.

6. Probably Does Violate At Least 6 DU Rules
However, since it's about Dean, that's OK. It falls under the "Dean exception" clause in paragraph 5 subsection 2.

I think it's pretty funny, actually. Dean is picking up a lot of endorsements, isn't he?

9. OK, everybody, just chill out
That was humor.

Dry humor.

Humor so dry that it probably shouldn't even count as humor, but due to a loophole found in the U.S. Irony Code, it is.

Please feel free to return to your regularly scheduled wisecracking and irreverence.

That's an order.

8. Remember the Weekly World News in 1996?
They "reported" on an alien whose support for the Big Dog seemd to strangely follow the polls.

It was just hilarious . . .
