Now - CBS has a documentary by 2 Frenchmen
About Ladder One and a new firefighter. They happened to be there on 9/11. No political bullshit, just first hand accounts of the towers coming down.

I've seen most of this documentary, but tonight, CBS is airing it all with updates.

1. I saw it when it first came out. I might watch it again for the updates.
Now THAT was a documentary.

2. You're absolutely right.
They said "we had film for a great cooking show" because there had been no fires to film. Be careful what you wish for...

3. I just noticed that's coming on
at the same time as... that other thing.

I also saw it way back when, and I look forward to seeing it again.

I understand CBS isn't censoring it. I remember one voice saying "HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT!" as the first plane strikes the tower.

4. It just hit
and you're right. It's uncensored. It's just as painful to watch now as it was when it first aired. I don't know if I can watch much more.

6. Oddly enough, perhaps
I really enjoy stuff like that, especially documentaries that show how the media covered a major event. It's like reliving history, and I can't get enough of that — as long as it's real.

5. Good for CBS. Apparently that fundie "family" group (can't
recall the name of it) was barraging CBS with demands they not show it because of the language. Oh puleeze! ABC is showing something much for obscene than hearing someone saying HOLY SHIT while watching a plane hit the first towers. :eyes:

8. Ironic, isn't it?
They're getting all bent out of shape about people swearing during the tragedy but not saying a word about that other thing which breaks one of their cherished Commandments over & over & over again. Assholes.

11. Typical of them
They lie through their teeth constantly and don't mind graphic violence a-la "Passion of the Christ", but say "damn" or show an inch of skin and suddenly they're screaming for a ban. :eyes:

9. If you're on the west coast
this is uncensored, unedited and commercial-free. I've taped it. It's that moving and sad. Honest, raw and as real as documentaries and journalism can get.

12. It's very well done!

It's as truthful as they come, which makes it hard to
watch at times.

Good for CBS to show what REALLY happened!
